Anti-PDZD2 antibodies are used in the immunodetection of the protein PDZ domain containing 2. In humans, the canonical protein has a reported length of 2839 amino acid residues and a mass of 301.6 kDa. Its subcellular localization is in the nucleus, ER, and cytoplasm. Up to 2 different isoforms have been reported for this protein. PDZD2 is known to be involved with cell adhesion. Post-translational modifications have been described, including protein cleavage. Synonyms for this target antigen include PAPIN, PDZK3, PIN1, PDZ domain-containing protein 2, PDZ domain-containing protein 3, and AIPC. PDZD2 gene orthologs have been reported in the mouse, rat, bovine, frog, zebrafish, chimpanzee and chicken species. Some PDZD2 antibodies may have been used in research and have associated citations. Immunofluorescence is a widely used application for these antibodies. ELISA and Immunohistochemistry are also common applications.
