Anti-KPP antibodies enable researchers to detect and measure the KPP antigen in biological samples. This target is a reported synonym of the KRT10 gene, which encodes keratin 10. This protein is known to function in the differentiation of certain cell types, among other biological roles. The human version of KPP has a canonical amino acid length of 584 residues and a protein mass of 58.8 kilodaltons. It is reported to be localized in the cytoplasm and is secreted of cells and notably expressed in the skin. Other names for this target antigen include BCIE, BIE, and CK10. Some KPP antibodies may have been used in research and have associated citations. Western Blot is a widely used application for these antibodies. ELISA, Immunofluorescence, and Immunohistochemistry are also common applications.
