Anti-DAP6 antibodies enable researchers to detect and measure the DAP6 antigen in biological samples. This target is a reported synonym of the DAXX gene, which encodes death domain associated protein. This protein is known to function in chromatin remodeling and the apoptotic pathway, among other biological roles. The human version of DAP6 has a canonical amino acid length of 740 residues and a protein mass of 81.4 kilodaltons, although 5 isoforms have been identified. It is reported to be localized in the nucleus and cytoplasm of cells and widely expressed in many tissue types. Other names for this target antigen include BING2 and EAP1. Some DAP6 antibodies may have been used in research and have associated citations. Western Blot is a widely used application for these antibodies. In addition, ELISA is also a common application.
