Anti-APT1 antibodies are used in antigen-specific immunodetection in biological samples. The target APT1 is a known alias name of the protein lysophospholipase 1, encoded by the LYPLA1 gene in humans. This 230-amino acid residue protein is known to act as a acyl-protein thioesterase. It is localized to the cell membrane, nucleus, ER, and cytoplasm of the cell. It is reported to be expressed in many tissues, such as the colon and duodenum.
