Anti-RY antibodies enable researchers to detect and measure the RY antigen in biological samples. This target is a reported synonym of the HSPA4 gene, which encodes heat shock protein family A (Hsp70) member 4. This protein is known to function in protein folding, among other biological roles. The human version of RY has a canonical amino acid length of 840 residues and a protein mass of 94.3 kilodaltons, although 2 isoforms have been identified. It is reported to be localized in the cytoplasm of cells. Other names for this target antigen include APG-2, HEL-S-5a, and HS24/P52. Western Blot is the most common application for the RY antibodies listed below. ELISA and Immunohistochemistry are also common applications.
