Anti-KMT3C antibodies detect the protein encoded by the gene SMYD2, or 'SET and MYND domain containing 2' in humans. The 433-amino acid protein is a member of the Class V-like SAM-binding methyltransferase superfamily. The cellular localization is predicted to be cytoplasmic and nuclear.
