Anti-KIF16B antibodies are used in the immunodetection of the protein kinesin family member 16B. In humans, the canonical protein has a reported length of 1317 amino acid residues and a mass of 152 kDa. Its subcellular localization is in the cytoplasm. Up to 5 different isoforms have been reported for this protein. It is notably expressed in the brain. It is a member of the Kinesin protein family. Synonyms for this target antigen include kinesin motor protein, sorting nexin 23, testis secretory sperm-binding protein Li 201a, and kinesin-like protein KIF16B. KIF16B gene orthologs have been reported in the mouse, rat, bovine, frog, zebrafish, chimpanzee and chicken species. Some KIF16B antibodies may have been used in research and have associated citations. Western Blot is a widely used application for these antibodies. ELISA and Immunohistochemistry are also common applications.
