Anti-DDHD1 antibodies are used in the immunodetection of the protein DDHD domain containing 1. In humans, the canonical protein has a reported length of 900 amino acid residues and a mass of 100.4 kDa. Its subcellular localization is in the cytoplasm. Up to 4 different isoforms have been reported for this protein. It is reported to be highly expressed in the testis. A member of the PA-PLA1 protein family, DDHD1 is known to be involved with the metabolism of lipids. The DDHD1 gene has been associated with the disease, Spastic paraplegia.
