Anti-KvBeta2 antibodies enable researchers to detect and measure the KvBeta2 antigen in biological samples. This target is a reported synonym of the KCNAB2 gene, which encodes potassium voltage-gated channel subfamily A regulatory beta subunit 2. The human version of KvBeta2 has a canonical amino acid length of 367 residues and a protein mass of 41 kilodaltons, although 5 isoforms have been identified. It is reported to be localized in the cell membrane and cytoplasm of cells and notably expressed in many tissues, such as the bone marrow, urinary bladder, and appendix. Other names for this target antigen include AKR6A5, HKvbeta2, and HKvbeta2.1.
