Anti-pG2 antibodies enable researchers to detect and measure the pG2 antigen in biological samples. This target is a reported synonym of the DLK1 gene, which encodes delta like non-canonical Notch ligand 1. This protein is known to function in cell differentiation, among other biological roles. The human version of pG2 has a canonical amino acid length of 383 residues and a protein mass of 41.3 kilodaltons, although 2 isoforms have been identified. It is reported to be localized in the membrane and cytoplasm of cells and notably expressed in the ovary, nasopharynx, colon, bronchus, and adrenal gland. Other names for this target antigen include DLK, Delta1, and FA1. Some pG2 antibodies may have been used in research and have associated citations. Western Blot is a widely used application for these antibodies. In addition, ELISA is also a common application.
