Anti-SCEH antibodies are used in antigen-specific immunodetection in biological samples. The target SCEH is a known alias name of the protein enoyl-CoA hydratase, short chain 1, encoded by the ECHS1 gene in humans. This 290-amino acid residue protein is a member of the Enoyl-CoA hydratase/isomerase protein family. It is localized to the mitochondria of the cell. It is reported to be widely expressed in many tissue types. Other synonyms for SCEH include ECHS1D and mECH.
