Anti-GST2 antibodies are used in antigen-specific immunodetection in biological samples. The target GST2 is a known alias name of the protein glutathione S-transferase alpha 2, encoded by the GSTA2 gene in humans. This 222-amino acid residue protein is known to catalyze the conjugation of glutathione to a large variety of electrophilic compounds. It is localized to the cytoplasm of the cell. In terms of tissue expression, it is notably expressed in the liver.
