Anti-Stabilin 1 antibodies are used in the immunodetection of the protein encoded by the STAB1 gene. In humans, the canonical protein has a reported length of 2570 amino acid residues and a mass of 275.5 kDa. Its subcellular localization is in the membrane. Alternative splicing is reported to yield 2 different isoforms for this protein. It is known to act as a scavenger receptor for acetylated low density lipoprotein. Post-translational modifications have been described, including glycosylation. Other names for this target antigen include FEEL-1, FEEL1, FELE-1, FEX1, SCARH2, and CLEVER-1.
