Anti-EML4 antibodies are used in the immunodetection of the protein EMAP like 4. In humans, the canonical protein has a reported length of 981 amino acid residues and a mass of 108.9 kDa. Its subcellular localization is in the cytoplasm. Alternative splicing is reported to yield 2 different isoforms for this protein. A member of a the WD repeat EMAP protein family, EML4 is known to be important for the formation and stability of microtubules (MTs).
