Anti-TMEM205 antibodies are used in the immunodetection of the protein transmembrane protein 205. In humans, the canonical protein has a reported length of 189 amino acid residues and a mass of 21.2 kDa. Its subcellular localization is in the membrane. It is reported to be widely expressed with highest levels in the pancreas, followed by adrenal gland, thyroid, liver, mammary gland, prostate, kidney, and retina; lowest levels in skeletal muscle. It is a member of the TMEM205 protein family. Synonyms for this target antigen include MBC3205. TMEM205 gene orthologs have been reported in the mouse, rat, bovine, frog, zebrafish and chimpanzee species. Some TMEM205 antibodies may have been used in research and have associated citations. ELISA is a widely used application for these antibodies. Western Blot and Immunohistochemistry are also common applications.
