Anti-KOR antibodies are used in antigen-specific immunodetection in biological samples. The target KOR is a known alias name of the protein opioid receptor kappa 1, encoded by the OPRK1 gene in humans. This 380-amino acid residue protein is known to be involved in carbohydrate metabolism and homeostasis and the cellular response to lipopolysaccharides, among other biological processes. It is localized to the cell membrane of the cell and features glycosylated post-translational modifications. In terms of tissue expression, it is notably expressed in the brain and placenta. Other synonyms for KOR include K-OR-1 and KOP. Western Blot is a widely used application for the KOR antibodies listed below. In addition, ELISA is also a common application.
