Anti-DNAPK antibodies are used in antigen-specific immunodetection in biological samples. The target DNAPK is a known alias name of the protein protein kinase, DNA-activated, catalytic subunit, encoded by the PRKDC gene in humans. This 4128-amino acid residue protein is a type of serine/threonine-protein kinase that acts as a molecular sensor for DNA damage. It is localized to the nucleus of the cell and features ubiquitinated and phosphorylated post-translational modifications. It is reported to be widely expressed in many tissue types. Other synonyms for DNAPK include DNA-PKC and DNA-PKcs. Western Blot is the most common application for the DNAPK antibodies listed below. ELISA and Immunohistochemistry are also common applications.
