Anti-HOXD8 antibodies are used in the immunodetection of the protein homeobox D8. In humans, the canonical protein has a reported length of 290 amino acid residues and a mass of 31.9 kDa. Its subcellular localization is in the nucleus. Up to 3 different isoforms have been reported for this protein. A member of the Antp homeobox protein family, HOXD8 is known to be involved with the regulation of transcription. Synonyms for this target antigen include HOX4E, HOX5.4, homeobox protein Hox-D8, Hox-4.5, homeo box 4E, and HOX4. HOXD8 gene orthologs have been reported in the mouse, rat, bovine, frog, chimpanzee and chicken species. A number of HOXD8 antibodies have been mentioned in research publications and have associated citations. Western Blot is a widely used application for these antibodies. In addition, ELISA is also a common application.
