Anti-Tapa antibodies are used in antigen-specific immunodetection in biological samples. The target Tapa is a known alias name of the protein TAP binding protein, encoded by the TAPBP gene in humans. This 448-amino acid residue protein is reported to be involved in association of MHC class I with transporter associated with antigen processing (TAP) and in the assembly of MHC class I with peptide (peptide loading). It is localized to the ER of the cell and features glycosylated post-translational modifications. It is reported to be widely expressed in many tissue types. Other synonyms for Tapa include NGS17 and TPN. Indicated applications for Tapa antibodies listed below include ELISA, Western Blot, Immunofluorescence, Immunoprecipitation, and Immunohistochemistry.
