Anti-Sen1 antibodies are used in antigen-specific immunodetection in biological samples. The target Sen1 is a known alias name of the protein senataxin, encoded by the SETX gene in humans. This 2677-amino acid residue protein is a suspected RNA/DNA helicase involved in diverse aspects of RNA metabolism and genomic integrity. It is localized to the nucleus and cytoplasm of the cell and features ubiquitinated and sumoylated post-translational modifications. In terms of tissue expression, it is reported to be highly expressed in skeletal muscle. ELISA and Western Blot are common applications for Sen1 antibodies.
