Anti-SAP90 antibodies enable researchers to detect and measure the SAP90 antigen in biological samples. This target is a reported synonym of the DLG4 gene, which encodes discs large MAGUK scaffold protein 4. This protein is known to function in nervous system development and chemical synaptic transmission, among other biological roles. The human version of SAP90 has a canonical amino acid length of 724 residues and a protein mass of 80.5 kilodaltons, although 3 isoforms have been identified. It is reported to be localized in the cell membrane and cytoplasm of cells and notably expressed in the small intestine, hippocampus, cerebellum, caudate, and appendix. Other names for this target antigen include MRD62, PSD95, and SAP-90. Some SAP90 antibodies may have been used in research and have associated citations. Western Blot is a widely used application for these antibodies. Immunofluorescence and Immunohistochemistry are also common applications.
