Anti-Rad5 antibodies enable researchers to detect and measure the Rad5 antigen in biological samples. This target is a reported synonym of the SHPRH gene, which encodes SNF2 histone linker PHD RING helicase. This protein is known to function in DNA damage pathways and DNA repair, among other biological roles. The human version of Rad5 has a canonical amino acid length of 1683 residues and a protein mass of 193.1 kilodaltons, although 4 isoforms have been identified. It is reported to be widely expressed in many tissue types. Rad5 is a member of the SNF2/RAD54 helicase protein family.
