Anti-PMCA2 antibodies detect the protein encoded by the gene ATP2B2, or 'ATPase plasma membrane Ca2+ transporting 2' in humans. The 1243-amino acid protein is a member of the Cation transport ATPase (P-type) (TC 3.A.3) family, Type IIB subfamily. The cellular localization is predicted to be membrane-associated.
