Anti-Nca antibodies are used in antigen-specific immunodetection in biological samples. The target Nca is a known alias name of the protein CEA cell adhesion molecule 6, encoded by the CEACAM6 gene in humans. This 344-amino acid residue protein is known to be involved in the apoptotic pathway and cell adhesion, among other biological processes. It is localized to the cell membrane of the cell and features glycosylated post-translational modifications. In terms of tissue expression, it is reported to be expressed in neutrophils.
