Anti-MIP1 antibodies are used in antigen-specific immunodetection in biological samples. The target MIP1 is a known alias name of the protein transportin 1, encoded by the TNPO1 gene in humans. This 898-amino acid residue protein is reported to function in nuclear protein import as nuclear transport receptor. It is localized to the nucleus and cytoplasm of the cell. It is reported to be widely expressed in many tissue types.
