Anti-MAPK8IP1 antibodies are used in the immunodetection of the protein mitogen-activated protein kinase 8 interacting protein 1. In humans, the canonical protein has a reported length of 711 amino acid residues and a mass of 77.5 kDa. Its subcellular localization is in the nucleus, mitochondria, ER, and cytoplasm. It is reported to be highly expressed in the brain. A member of the JIP scaffold protein family, MAPK8IP1 is known to be involved with the regulation of apoptosis and the regulation of transcription. Synonyms for this target antigen include JIP-1, JIP1, PRKM8IP, C-Jun-amino-terminal kinase-interacting protein 1, IB-1, and IB1. MAPK8IP1 gene orthologs have been reported in the mouse, rat, bovine, frog, zebrafish, chimpanzee and chicken species. A number of MAPK8IP1 antibodies have been mentioned in research publications and have associated citations. Western Blot is a widely used application for these antibodies. ELISA, Immunofluorescence, and Immunohistochemistry are also common applications.
