Anti-Interleukin 4 receptor antibodies are directed against the protein encoded by the gene IL4R in humans. The gene may also be known as IL4RA, CD124, IL-4RA, interleukin-4 receptor subunit alpha, and IL-4 receptor subunit alpha. Structurally, the protein is reported to be 89.7 kilodaltons in mass. The IL4R marker can be used to identify CD4 Memory T Cells, Effector Memory CD45RA CD4 T Cells, Naive B Cells, and Transitional Immature B Cells.* Based on gene name, canine, porcine, monkey and rat orthologs may also be found.
