Anti-GOLGA4 antibodies are used in the immunodetection of the protein golgin A4. In humans, the canonical protein has a reported length of 2230 amino acid residues and a mass of 261.1 kDa. Its subcellular localization is in the membrane, golgi, and cytoplasm. Alternative splicing is reported to yield 4 different isoforms for this protein. GOLGA4 is known to be involved in vesicular trafficking at the Golgi apparatus level. Post-translational modifications have been described, including glycosylation. Synonyms for this target antigen include GCP2, GOLG, MU-RMS-40.18, p230, golgin subfamily A member 4, 256 kDa golgin, 72.1 protein, and CRPF46.
