Anti-fog antibodies enable researchers to detect and measure the fog antigen in biological samples. This target is a reported synonym of the ZFPM1 gene, which encodes zinc finger protein, FOG family member 1. This protein is known to function in the differentiation of certain cell types, among other biological roles. The human version of fog has a canonical amino acid length of 1006 residues and a protein mass of 104.9 kilodaltons. It is reported to be localized in the nucleus of cells and notably expressed in many tissues, such as the adrenal gland and bone marrow. fog is a member of the FOG (Friend of GATA) protein family. Indicated applications for fog antibodies listed below include ELISA and Western Blot.
