The gene may also be known as MF1, FEN-1, RAD2, flap endonuclease 1, and DNase IV. Structurally, the protein is reported to be 42.6 kilodaltons in mass. Based on gene name, fly, canine, porcine, monkey, mouse and rat orthologs may also be found.
