Anti-ERT2 antibodies are used in antigen-specific immunodetection in biological samples. The target ERT2 is a known alias name of the protein mitogen-activated protein kinase 3, encoded by the MAPK3 gene in humans. This 379-amino acid residue protein is known to be a serine/threonine kinase that acts as an essential component of the MAP kinase signal transduction pathway. It is localized to the nucleus and cytoplasm of the cell and features ubiquitinated and phosphorylated post-translational modifications. It is reported to be widely expressed in many tissue types. Other synonyms for ERT2 include ERK-1 and ERK1. Some ERT2 antibodies may have been used in research and have associated citations. Western Blot is a widely used application for these antibodies. In addition, Immunohistochemistry is also a common application.
