Anti-DSI antibodies are used in antigen-specific immunodetection in biological samples. The target DSI is a known alias name of the protein prolyl 4-hydroxylase subunit beta, encoded by the P4HB gene in humans. This 508-amino acid residue protein is known to be involved in the cellular response to hypoxia and Golgi transport, among other biological processes. It is localized to the ER and cell membrane of the cell and features phosphorylated post-translational modifications. It is reported to be widely expressed in many tissue types. Other synonyms for DSI include CLCRP1 and ERBA2L. Over 110 citations in the literature describe the use of DSI antibodies in research. Western Blot is a widely used application for these antibodies. Immunocytochemistry, Immunoprecipitation, and Immunohistochemistry are also common applications.
