Anti-Chd3 antibodies are used in the immunodetection of the protein chromodomain helicase DNA binding protein 3. In humans, the canonical protein has a reported length of 2000 amino acid residues and a mass of 226.6 kDa. Its subcellular localization is in the nucleus and cytoplasm. Alternative splicing is reported to yield 3 different isoforms for this protein. It is widely expressed across many tissue types. A member of a the SNF2/RAD54 helicase protein family, CHD3 is reported to be an ATP-dependent helicase that binds and distorts nucleosomal DNA. Post-translational modifications have been described, including sumoylation. Synonyms for this target antigen include Mi2-ALPHA, SNIBCPS, ZFH, ATP-dependent helicase CHD3, hZFH, and Mi-2a.
