Anti-Centromere protein T antibodies are directed against the protein encoded by the gene CENPT in humans. The gene may also be known as C16orf56, CENP-T, and interphase centromere complex protein 22. Structurally, the protein is reported to be 60.4 kilodaltons in mass. Based on gene name, canine, porcine, monkey, mouse and rat orthologs may also be found.
