Anti-4.1N antibodies enable researchers to detect and measure the 4.1N antigen in biological samples. This target is a reported synonym of the EPB41L1 gene, which encodes erythrocyte membrane protein band 4.1 like 1. This protein is known to function in cytoskeleton organization, among other biological roles. The human version of 4.1N has a canonical amino acid length of 881 residues and a protein mass of 98.5 kilodaltons, although 4 isoforms have been identified. It is reported to be localized in the cytoplasm of cells and widely expressed in many tissue types. This target antigen may also be known as 4.1N.
