Anti-PLC gamma 1 antibodies are used in antigen-specific immunodetection in biological samples. The target PLC gamma 1 is a known alias name of the protein phospholipase C gamma 1, encoded by the PLCG1 gene in humans. This 1290-amino acid residue protein is known to mediate the production of the second messenger molecules diacylglycerol (DAG) and inositol 1,4,5-trisphosphate (IP3). It is localized to the cell projections of the cell and features ubiquitinated and phosphorylated post-translational modifications. It is reported to be widely expressed in many tissue types. Other synonyms for PLC gamma 1 include NCKAP3, PLC-II, and PLC1. Western Blot is the most common application for the PLC gamma 1 antibodies listed below. ELISA and Immunohistochemistry are also common applications.
