Anti-SAMDC antibodies are used in antigen-specific immunodetection in biological samples. The target SAMDC is a known alias name of the protein adenosylmethionine decarboxylase 1, encoded by the AMD1 gene in humans. This 334-amino acid residue protein is known to be important for biosynthesis of the polyamines spermidine and spermine. It is reported to be expressed in many tissues, such as the caudate, thyroid gland, and adrenal gland. Other synonyms for SAMDC include ADOMETDC, ADOMETDC, and AMD. ELISA is the most common application for the SAMDC antibodies listed below. Western Blot and Immunohistochemistry are also common applications.
