Anti-FEZ2 antibodies are used in the immunodetection of the protein fasciculation and elongation protein zeta 2. In humans, the canonical protein has a reported length of 353 amino acid residues and a mass of 39.7 kDa. Up to 2 different isoforms have been reported for this protein. It is reported to be expressed in nonneural tissues, such as heart, lung, spleen, muscle, testis, placenta and melanocytes. A member of the Zygin protein family, FEZ2 is known to be involved in axonal outgrowth and fasciculation. Synonyms for this target antigen include pre-T/NK cell associated protein (3Cl), zygin 2, zygin II, and HUM3CL. FEZ2 gene orthologs have been reported in the mouse, rat, bovine, frog, zebrafish, chimpanzee and chicken species. Western Blot is the most common application for the FEZ2 antibodies listed below. ELISA, Immunocytochemistry, and Immunofluorescence are also common applications.
