Anti-CD340 antibodies enable researchers to detect and measure the CD340 antigen in biological samples. This target is a reported synonym of the ERBB2 gene, which encodes erb-b2 receptor tyrosine kinase 2. This protein is known to function in receptor-mediated signaling pathways and cardiac tissue development, among other biological roles. The human version of CD340 has a canonical amino acid length of 1255 residues and a protein mass of 137.9 kilodaltons. It is reported to be localized in the cell membrane of cells and notably expressed in many tissues, such as the breast, urinary bladder, and appendix. Other names for this target antigen include HER-2 and HER-2/neu. Some CD340 antibodies may have been used in research and have associated citations. Western Blot is a widely used application for these antibodies. ELISA and Immunohistochemistry are also common applications.
