Anti-Toll-like Receptor 7 antibodies are used for the immunodetection of the protein encoded by the TLR7 gene. In humans, the canonical protein has a reported length of 1049 amino acid residues and a mass of 120.9 kDa. Its subcellular localization is in the ER, lysosomes, and cytoplasmic vesicles. It is notably expressed in the brain, placenta, spleen, stomach, small intestine, lung and in plasmacytoid pre-dendritic cells. A member of the Toll-like receptor protein family, it is reported to be an endosomal receptor that plays a key role in innate and adaptive immunity. Post-translational modifications have been described, including glycosylation. Other names for this target antigen include SLEB17, TLR7-like, toll-like receptor 7-like, and IMD74. Gene orthologs have been identified in the mouse, rat, bovine, frog and chimpanzee species. A number of Toll-like Receptor 7 antibodies have been mentioned in research publications and have associated citations. Western Blot is a widely used application for these antibodies.
