Anti-SAK antibodies enable researchers to detect and measure the SAK antigen in biological samples. This target is a reported synonym of the PLK4 gene, which encodes polo like kinase 4. This protein is known to function in cilium assembly and protein phosphorylation, among other biological roles. The human version of SAK has a canonical amino acid length of 970 residues and a protein mass of 109 kilodaltons, although 3 isoforms have been identified. It is reported to be localized in the nucleus and cytoplasm of cells and widely expressed in many tissue types. This target antigen may also be known as MCCRP2.
