Anti-UBAP1 antibodies are used in the immunodetection of the protein ubiquitin associated protein 1. In humans, the canonical protein has a reported length of 502 amino acid residues and a mass of 55.1 kDa. Its subcellular localization is in the cytoplasm. Up to 4 different isoforms have been reported for this protein. It is ubiquitously expressed across many tissue types. UBAP1 is a known component of the ESCRT-I complex, a regulator of vesicular trafficking process. The UBAP1 gene has been associated with the disease, Spastic paraplegia. Synonyms for this target antigen include SPG80, UAP, UBAP, nasopharyngeal carcinoma-associated gene 20 protein, and NAG20. UBAP1 gene orthologs have been reported in the mouse, rat, bovine, frog, zebrafish, chimpanzee and chicken species. A number of UBAP1 antibodies have been mentioned in research publications and have associated citations. Western Blot is a widely used application for these antibodies. ELISA, Immunofluorescence, and Immunohistochemistry are also common applications.
