Anti-PP19 antibodies are used in antigen-specific immunodetection in biological samples. The target PP19 is a known alias name of the protein stathmin 1, encoded by the STMN1 gene in humans. This 149-amino acid residue protein is reported to be involved in regulation of the microtubule (MT) filament system by destabilizing microtubules. It is localized to the cytoplasm of the cell and features phosphorylated post-translational modifications. In terms of tissue expression, it is ubiquitously expressed across many tissue types. Other synonyms for PP19 include C1orf215, LAP18, and Lag. ELISA, Western Blot, and Immunohistochemistry are common applications for PP19 antibodies.
