Anti-PPM1B antibodies are used in the immunodetection of the protein protein phosphatase, Mg2+/Mn2+ dependent 1B. In humans, the canonical protein has a reported length of 479 amino acid residues and a mass of 52.6 kDa. Its subcellular localization is in the cytoplasm. Up to 5 different isoforms have been reported for this protein. It is reported to be highly expressed in the heart and skeletal muscle. A member of the PP2C protein family, PPM1B is known to be involved with the Wnt signaling pathway and protein dephosphorylation. Synonyms for this target antigen include PP2C-beta-X, PP2CB, PP2CBETA, PPC2BETAX, protein phosphatase 1B, protein phosphatase 2C-like protein, and PP2C-beta. PPM1B gene orthologs have been reported in the mouse, rat, bovine, frog, zebrafish, chimpanzee and chicken species. A number of PPM1B antibodies have been mentioned in research publications and have associated citations. Western Blot is a widely used application for these antibodies. In addition, Flow Cytometry is also a common application.
