Anti-HDACA antibodies are used in antigen-specific immunodetection in biological samples. The target HDACA is a known alias name of the protein histone deacetylase 4, encoded by the HDAC4 gene in humans. This 1084-amino acid residue protein is known to be important for the deacetylation of lysine residues on the N-terminal part of the core histones (H2A, H2B, H3 and H4). It is localized to the nucleus and cytoplasm of the cell and features sumoylated and phosphorylated post-translational modifications. In terms of tissue expression, it is ubiquitously expressed across many tissue types. Other synonyms for HDACA include AHO3, AHO3, and BDMR. Western Blot is a widely used application for the HDACA antibodies listed below. In addition, Immunohistochemistry is also a common application.
