Anti-NP2 antibodies enable researchers to detect and measure the NP2 antigen in biological samples. This target is a reported synonym of the NRP2 gene, which encodes neuropilin 2. This protein is known to function in angiogenesis and axon guidance, among other biological roles. The human version of NP2 has a canonical amino acid length of 931 residues and a protein mass of 104.8 kilodaltons, although 6 isoforms have been identified. It is reported to be localized in the membrane and is secreted of cells and widely expressed in many tissue types. NP2 is a member of the Neuropilin protein family.
