Anti-SSXT antibodies are used in antigen-specific immunodetection in biological samples. The target SSXT is a known alias name of the protein SS18 subunit of BAF chromatin remodeling complex, encoded by the SS18 gene in humans. This 418-amino acid residue protein is suggested to function synergistically with RBM14 as a transcriptional coactivator. It is localized to the nucleus of the cell. It is reported to be expressed in many tissues, such as the colon and gallbladder. Other synonyms for SSXT include SMARCL1 and SYT.
