Anti-PARP-2 antibodies are protein reagents that detect specific antigens. The PARP-2 antigen is another term for the human protein poly(ADP-ribose) polymerase 2, encoded by the PARP2 gene. The protein is a reported Poly-ADP-ribosyltransferase that mediates poly-ADP-ribosylation of proteins and plays a key role in DNA repair. Canonically, it has an amino acid length of 583 residues and a mass of 66.2 kilodaltons. Its subcellular localization is in the nucleus and it is reported to be widely expressed, mainly in actively dividing tissues. The PARP-2 protein is a member of the ARTD/PARP protein family.
