Anti-CALB antibodies enable researchers to detect and measure the CALB antigen in biological samples. This target is a reported synonym of the CALB1 gene, which encodes calbindin 1. The human version of CALB has a canonical amino acid length of 261 residues and a protein mass of 30 kilodaltons, although 2 isoforms have been identified. It is reported to be notably expressed in the kidney, cerebellum, and caudate. This target antigen may also be known as D-28K. A number of CALB antibodies have been mentioned in research publications and have associated citations. Western Blot is a widely used application for these antibodies. ELISA and Immunohistochemistry are also common applications.
