Anti-CAF1 antibodies are used in antigen-specific immunodetection in biological samples. The target CAF1 is a known alias name of the protein CCR4-NOT transcription complex subunit 8, encoded by the CNOT8 gene in humans. This 292-amino acid residue protein is known to have 3'-5' poly(A) exoribonuclease activity for synthetic poly(A) RNA substrate. It is localized to the nucleus and cytoplasm of the cell. It is reported to be widely expressed in many tissue types. ELISA and Western Blot are common applications for CAF1 antibodies.
